3.  Look for a hexagon-shaped opening at the bottom of the unit.

4.  Get down and dirty and use an allen wrench until you feel the motor spinning.

Installing a Gas Line.

First of all, let’s understand something…installing a gas line in your home is almost certainly NOT a DIY job!  I hope that you already realize that the risks of making a mistake outweigh the costs of a professional.  The individual steps are extremely demanding and the consequences are a lot bigger than a leaky toilet.

Let’s look at some of the steps just so you’ll know.

1.  Buying the correct parts is tantamount to success.

2.  You must turn off the gas to your entire home.

3.  Extend your existing gas line while adding the new one.

4.  Spread the correct mixture of water and dish liquid over each seam.

Freezing is Reality.

In the next couple of months freezing overnight temperatures are just simply a reality in the Columbus area.  Water pipes and irrigation systems can’t come indoors to escape those falling temperatures.  It you wish to avoid some major problems there are some steps that you can take.  Maybe, it’s NOT too late!

Some of them are –

1.  Drain your garden hoses if you have not already done so.

2.  Run your irrigation system manually just to protect plants from freezing.

3.  Shut off in-ground sprinkler systems.

4.  Insulate any exposed outside pipes.

5.  Locate your home’s master shut-off valve.
